Antique Victorian yellow gold ring featuring a beautiful round garnet gemstone. The ring has a number of marks indicating the piece was hallmarked in 1899 in Birmingham, England. The ring is set in 18ct yellow gold.
Garnets were used extensively in all different designs of Victorian jewellery, bracelets, rings, brooches and elaborate necklaces, they represent the birthstone of January.
